  • Irene is a neuroscientist by day and an avid science outreach coordinator and advocate by night! When she isn’t studying the development of the nervous system, she is busy loving dogs and baguettes!

• Ioana Marin, PhD

  • Ioana is a multipotentialite trying to juggle scientific research with social justice work. She believes academia has an often disregarded responsibility towards the community and she is particularly concerned with perceived stereotypes and accessibility to education, in STEM and beyond. Ioana is fond of many things, such as cappuccinos on Saturdays and black tea on Sundays.

• Kelly Barford

  • Outside of the lab, Kelly has a passion for science outreach and education. In addition to Cville Comm-UNI-ty, she helped found the nonprofit Science Delivered to promote equal access to science education. When she’s not running around town, she loves coffee and craft beverages!
